Medical Records Coordinator
Bethany is seeking an experienced full-time Medical Records Coordinator to join the team!
This is an office position responsible for managing all aspects of maintaining and protecting agency clinical records. Assist the patient care staff. Complete work in a timely fashion. Provide general office and clerical support as needed. Effectively use Bethany's EMR system for processing of any medical information, as required.

Hours are Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm in a beautiful office located in Greentree.

Qualifications
Required: at least 2 years related medical office clerical experience, electronic medical records expertise, proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office, and excellent customer service skills.
Manage all daily clinical records functions including establishing and implementing clinical records policies. Ensure clinical records systems are maintained in compliance with governmental regulations.
Perform data entry of patient information as needed into patient database system. Verify accuracy of data entry of patient information, including changes and discharge information.
Update patient information as necessary and communicate changes in patient information effectively
File and keep medical records current to remain compliant with pertinent federal and state regulations (including HIPAA).
Log and mail verbal orders and care plans for physician’s signatures, maintain files until signed order is returned. Log return information. Follow-up on orders that are not returned timely.
Ensure that both active and discharge files are maintained in the proper order, incorporate bereavement filing as needed.
Mail and track requests for medical information as needed to support the patient’s hospice diagnosis.
Assist with chart audits as assigned. Work with the clinical team to resolve any issues.
Forward copies of IDG addendums to attending physicians.
Answer phones as needed.
Interact with staff in a positive and motivated fashion
Support other team members with clerical assistance as needed.
Participate in staff meetings, department meetings, team meetings, briefings, in-services, committees and other related activities as needed.
Assure compliance with local, state and federal laws, Medicare regulations and established company policies and procedures.
Meet or exceed delivery of company service standards in a consistent manner.
Conduct all business activities in a professional and ethical manner.

The Details
Salary range: $44,000-$52,000/yr; depending on experience
Hours: Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm)
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
