Chaplain & Spiritual Care Coordinator

Bethany is seeking a Part-time Spiritual Care Coordinator to provide spiritual and emotional support, comfort, and compassionate presence to patients and families when it matters most.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology (B.D., M.Div. or equivalent theological degree), or a degree in counseling, or equivalent experience. Prefer at least 2 CPE units.

  • Experience with families/caregivers and patients, death and dying.

  • Comfort in an interfaith setting.

  • Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs and values.

  • Ability to network with community clergy and congregations.

  • Vehicle, driver’s license and car insurance

  • Understanding of hospice philosophy and the needs of the terminally ill

  • Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices

  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting

  • Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers

  • Satisfactory criminal background check

  • Presentation of negative TB test or CXR as required by state law

  • Demonstrate good judgement and excellent observation and communication skills

  • Ability to provide good written documentation in a timely manner

  • Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision

  • Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations

  • Salary range: $23-$26/hour
